Across Europe, one in three women have experienced violence or threats, and many change their behaviour, routines or even careers to stay safe. No one should have to live like this.
We need better protection across the EU.
This means better reporting systems, faster responses from authorities, and real consequences for the people who cause these problems, both online and offline.

Harmful stereotypes still influence how society talks about rape, even though violence remains a reality for millions of women across Europe.
These stories protect the people responsible and stop victims from speaking out.
We demand a definition of rape that is the same throughout the EU. This means that responsibility is always placed on the perpetrator - never the victim.
We want EU rules that put the focus back on the crime itself and make sure that every victim is treated with dignity, fairness and respect.

Across the EU, 1 out of 3 women have experienced physical or sexual violence in their lifetime, a reality no one should accept.
Women deserve safety at home, at work and in public spaces.
We want the EU to put women’s safety at the heart of its agenda and ensure protection of women, in law and practice.

Myths about drinking, clothing or behaviour still shape how society talks about rape, even though about 20% of women in the EU have experienced violence from a non-partner.
These myths protect perpetrators and silence victims.
We demand an EU-wide, consent-based definition of rape so responsibility is always placed on the perpetrator, never the victim.
Four out of five people who experience violence never ask for professional help. This is often because services are unavailable, overloaded or unequal across Member States.
We are campaigning for better rights for victims. This means making sure that every victim in the EU can access support, such as shelters, counselling, medical care and legal support.
