Across Europe, one in three women have experienced violence or threats, and many change their behaviour, routines or even careers to stay safe. No one should have to live like this. We need better protection across the EU. This means better reporting systems, faster responses from authorities, and real consequences for the people who cause these problems, both online and offline.

Harmful stereotypes still influence how society talks about rape, even though violence remains a reality for millions of women across Europe. These stories protect the people responsible and stop victims from speaking out. We demand a definition of rape that is the same throughout the EU. This means that responsibility is always placed on the perpetrator - never the victim. We want EU rules that put the focus back on the crime itself and make sure that every victim is treated with dignity, fairness and respect.
